Jon Vliegenthart, B.B.A, AACI, P. App

Partner

Jon has been working as a real estate appraiser since 2012. Prior to starting Touchstone Appraisals, Jon was employed at leading firm as a Senior Commercial Appraiser. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Thompson Rivers University (2009) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Valuation from the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business (2020). In 2021, he achieved the AACI, P. App. designation through the Appraisal Institute of Canada.

Jon has extensive real estate valuation and consultation experience for financing, transactions, litigation support, due diligence, and insurance in:

  • Development land (Residential, Commercial, and Industrial)

Jon has appraised properties all over British Columbia, with a focus on the Thompson-Nicola, Cariboo, Columbia-Shuswap, and Fraser-Fort George Regional Districts.

Born and raised in Quesnel, British Columbia, Jon now calls Kamloops home. Jon is married and has two young children. When not in the office, Jon can be found camping, downhill skiing, mountain biking, and spending time with family and friends.

Rob Morrison, B.B.A, AACI, P. App

Rob was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance from Thompson Rivers University. During his time at TRU, Rob played baseball for the Men’s Varsity Baseball team. After university, Rob played semi-professional baseball in Australia. Rob now calls Kamloops home and is married with three children.

Rob has been working as a real estate appraiser since 2016. He completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Valuation from the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business in 2016 and in 2023, he achieved the AACI, P. App. designation through the Appraisal Institute of Canada.

Rob has appraised properties throughout the interior of British Columbia, with a focus on the Thompson-Nicola, Cariboo, and Columbia Shuswap Regional Districts.

When not in the office, Rob can be found spening time with family and friends or playing sports.

Amanda Lidster, BBA, AACI, P. App

Before joining the Touchstone Team, Amanda worked as a Senior Commercial Appraiser with another local appraisal firm in Kamloops, where she gained extensive experience valuing a wide range of real estate assets.

Her appraisal experience includes assignments completed for financing, marketing, litigation, and insurance purposes across a variety of property types, including:

  • Residential, acreage, and agricultural properties

  • Income-producing properties, including service commercial, retail, and office spaces

  • Industrial Properties

  • Leasehold interests

  • Mixed-use and multi-family developments

  • Special-use and recreational properties

  • Hotels and motels

Amanda has completed appraisal assignments throughout the Interior of British Columbia, with a particular focus on the Thompson-Nicola, Cariboo, and Columbia Shuswap Regional Districts.

Born and raised in Kamloops, British Columbia, Amanda began her post-secondary studies in Louisiana, where she attended university on an NCAA Division I Tennis Scholarship and completed two years of business studies. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Business Administration from Thompson Rivers University in 2015, followed by a Post Graduate Certificate in Valuation from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business in 2016. In 2021, she achieved her AACI, P. App. designation through the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
